On Bruno Faidutti's website, he mentions that in France, the different editions of Taboo all have different cards. Is this true for the American versions as well, and if so, how many different editions are there? Thank you!!!!!!!!!

This is definitely true, but I am not sure how many US editions there are. If you look at one of the pictures in the gallery, you can see that the clue is Tiger Woods. Tiger didn't get his first big win and become a household name until the mid-90's and this game came out in '89. Someone else might have to verify just how many editions there are though. The gallery seems to show 3 US editions (1989 and 2000 and 2002), plus the electronic version, but I guess there could be more...

I only see the 1989 and 2000 editions; what's the 2002 edition, how can it be distinguished from the 2000 edition, and does it have different cards than the 2000 edition?

The editions I know about

original edition has a card box that is red, pink, blue, teal, green, yellow
cards have blue,pink, black fonts

2 newer editions that have a white and purple card box
Cards have purple, green, black printing. The graphics design
of the two editions is different (in style but not in card
color ) but I don't know if the card content is. I am guessing
that it is.

taboo refill - there seem to be two different versions of this. The one
on the BGG page have cards that are dated 2007. Those cards
match the graphics design and colors of my 2000 version of
Taboo and at least some of the cards are same. The version of
taboo refill I have has cards dated 1990, the graphic design
is like the orginal except the lines are green and purple
rather pink and blue. It seems the 1990 card content is
different from the 2007 cards.

big taboo - smaller amount of cards.
cards are red and white.

celebrity taboo - most people don't like this edition, forget what colors the cards are although I think red is one of the colors. Published in 1991 so has celebrities from that era.

platinium edition - electronic version with no actual cards.

Are the cards the same or different in the 2000 and 2009 versions?
