Am trying to come up with a list of the top 15 most recognizable bits? I am talking about the things that are true icons. Things that say, BGGers Be Here (i.e. if you attend your spouse's work Christmas party and see one of these bits on the bookshelf of the host (not sure why it would be there instead of with the game) you immediately know that they are your kinda people and play your kinda games).

So far I have
1. A meeple

Can you help me fill in the list and point me to an image of each in the image data base?

At first I thought you meant generally recognizable, in which case I'd suggest a scrabble tile or the monopoly top hat. But it sounds like you mean recognizable by BGGers.

I'm not sure if all of these are unique to these games. Pictures later perhaps.

1) Orange amphoras from Attika
2) Brown haciendas from Hacienda
3) Ship from Hansa
4) Monk pawns from Mystery of the Abbey
5) Rubium dragons from Nexus Ops
6) Baumeisters from Pillars of the Earth
7) High hats, Buddhas, and rice paddies from Samurai
8) Pink camels from Through the Desert

You should make this into a poll.

The fact that you felt compelled to name them along with their pictures probably disqualifies them.

If you're talking about BGGers, then even if they haven't got them they must recognise.

Recognize? No. Make an educated guess based on the specific context that they're obviously from a major game? Yes.
