Subject: Wars between Ancient One's rss

This variant introduces the war between Ancient One's. The winner will come and you must face him in the final battle.

1- Choose two Ancient One's at the beginning of the game
All the effects comes into play at the same time.

2- When you have to place a doom token in the doom track, then add one token to each Ancient One.

3- After that, both Ancient One's fight one each other. Roll a die for each one. The winner will remove the loser's token, and he will add it to himself. So he will win 2 tokens in a row.
If there's a tie in the die roll, nothing occurs. One token for each one.

At the end, only the strongest Ancient One awakens!!!

Doesn't seem to bring anything particularly special.

It also seems like Yig has the upper hand, because he's more likely to awaken.

What happens when both awaken at the same time?

The important part with this house rule is that you play with the effects produced by two Ancient One's at the same time, and you have nasties games.

If both tie, then you have lost without final battle.

I'm not sure that I'd play this variant, but the concept of dueling Ancient Ones is quite intriguing. There's something to that that appeals...

Better: if they tie, you have to fight both at once.
1. Each of your surviving investigators gets to choose ONE Ancient One to attack.
2. Each surviving Ancient One attacks ALL your investigators.
3. If both Ancient Ones are still alive, they knock one token off each other. Or if this is found to make it too easy, link it to a die roll again.
4. Repeat.
