Hello everybody,

As a big M.U.L.E.-fan, I REALLY want to have this game, and I read through the rules quickly. I will definately buy it - but another plan came to my mind:

Maybe I can develop a computer version of "Planet Steam" with AI-opponents. A computer version of a boardgame that is mostly inspired by a computer game - sounds cool.
I have done this with Kingsburg, but the AI part seems a bit more complicated here...

I want to gather ideas how to compute the various decisions of the AI-players. Here are the - in my opinion - most difficult ones:

a) Which Role-Card should I take / how high should I bid for it
b) Which field should I select for the auction
c) How high do I bid on the auction
d) Where do I want to build?
e) Which sort of tanks / extensions sould I buy
f) Which tanks should I provide with energy
g) Buy / sell / do nothing? (for each ressource)
h) Buy building permissions / owner licenses?

Hmmmm... okay, these are almost ALL decisions in the game...

I don´t know if I should really start this project... but maybe your ideas give me some inspiration.

If not - we can at least discuss about strategy here.

Hey, we always need more computer versions, this would be an excellent project.

With nothing in english yet, nobody really knows much about the game so far.

Why not just play MULE? You can find all sorts of clones online.

Oh, actually, I play M.U.L.E. quite a lot these days.

It´s not the same, of course. Planet Steam has a lot of interesting details, and I believe this project would just be fun, too.
