Roll Call! Post here.

I know there are more than 2 or 3. Didn't legomancer post a thread a long time back?

I have eight characters. All but one have beaten LOD on Normal and are early into Nightmare. The 8th character, a Barby, functioned as my Gem / Rune factory and storeroom. He is in ACT II of Normal. All my characters need to clean out the closets of gems, skulls, runes, surplus Unique items and partial sets.

I gotta get ready to play Memoir '44 this afternoon. I'll check in later.

People still played online? I've played mostly off-line, but I would welcome an online Diablo II group.

I'm interested. I logged in for the first time in years to find I have to start from scratch. So if anyone is interested in playing and doesn't mind someone with zilch, let me know!

Blizzard deletes characters that aren't active after 90 days of inactivity. Sucks because I think I lost mine too.

I've not played much in the past 6 months but I've logged in and ran my characters around the block often enough to keep them active. (8 x Level 24 -42 Chars)

I'll fire one or two and start from scratch but I'll tell ya my new character will be getting some hard found gifts from the big brother or sister who as gone before as he/she levels up. BTW, I have extra stuff, many partial item sets, surplus Unique weapons, Perfect Gems and Skulls I'd part with for friendly companionship.

Yeah, so I discovered. Ah well. No worries for me, it's been so long since I played, probably best to start over anyway.

I play a lot offline. Uvula the Druid is on Act II of Hell. Not sure I'm that interested in online play.

Well for me a lot of it depends on what days my wife works 4-midnights, which has been at least 3 days a week lately.

Weeknights are better for me, generally. It's been a while since I logged on, so I might be a-startin' from scratch, too.

Weekday evenings are probably better for me. If anyone is serious PM me as well as posting here, if you have a favorite character type or two tell me that and post here just for curiosities sake.

It's almost midnight here, I just got in from boardgaming and I'm crashing. I'll review my stable tomorrow and see who I can ditch to make room for a newb.

I haven't played in a while, but I used to have a Sorceress and a Pally. Not very advanced, though.

I would be interested in starting a character to play in this.

Here are some thoughts:
1. Games are limited to 8 players at a time (right?).
2. One evening a week would be the most I could devote to this.
3. How do we coordinate the different time zones?
4. This would be the only time I play the game, so it is important to me to play with a group that is committed to play there character only in this group.

Any interest in moving forward with this?

I don't have a problem with any of those. We could probably solve the time zone issue by making everyone set their clocks around their homes to BGG time.

As for only playing that character in this group, I also have no objection to that. It's not like if I get the urge to play some other time I can't just go start a different character.

Scrib is doing the organizational legwork, I think.

1. I dunno
2. Me too
3. We might end up with enough peeps to have one group that is EST/CST and one that is MST/PST.
4. No problem here. I'll likely have a character devoted to just the weekly BGG session.

Sounds good to me.

1. Sounds about right.
2. Same.
3. Fine by me, as long as we are consistant and people show up on time. Though, I wonder what would happen if someone missed a week and they fall behind. What happens then?
4. Since I rarely play online, I'll have a character devoted to it.

First, I hadn't planned on anything too formal. Even though I'm unemployed, I don't want this to become a job for me or you. I do not plan on remaining jobless and thus I'm maintaining my normal wake/ sleep cycle on Eastern Standard Time.

Suggestions:

Play whatever character is fun for you. If we all show up as Elemental Druids, then so be it. (I don’t usually play Paladins, Barbarians or Druids. I favor Bow-a-zons and Boner Necros).

Let’s limit ourselves to one character per player for now.

Dedicate your character to BGG games only.

Cooperative play only. No Player versus player killing.

A weekday evening seems best. This is a sidebar hobby activity and shouldn’t replace board gaming, wives and family or work activities.

Due to time zone issues it may be impossible for everyone interested to get in the same game all the time or at all. These things will shake themselves out over time.

Issues: Not showing up on time? The party leaves without you? If there is still room you are welcome join and catch up on your own.

If you miss a week and fall substantially behind on mandatory quests like an Act ending boss, example, let's say, you miss the week we kill Andariel and we are all in ACT II and you can't get there. PM me, I'm sure we can agree on a way get other BGG party members to help you catch up. If it gets to be habitual we will deal with it then.

If we haven't covered everything before we start playing then we just haven't covered everything before we started playing. We will work it out as we go.

TODAY, I'm going through my current stable of 8 active on-line characters and fire one of them but I'm not going throw away sets or Unique items just to make room for my Newb, so I will be shuffling inventory between the keepers and the goner. The goner is probably gonna be my Barby, Dinopickles (di-NAW-pi-klees). I was using him storage mostly anyway.

Is next Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM Eastern good for you!

I have created my character, an Amazon named Starbuxom. She expires in 11 days.
