Hi all;

Something like two or three months ago, when BGG was having a glitch in the system, I won a Geeklist auction for an item. Due to the glitch, we couldn't do it through the system [although the seller said he tried repeatedly] and so I agreed to do it PayPal with him just donatign the requisite amount to BGG. Unfortunately this means I can't leave feedback which for the first time would be negative. After two or three months, I got the game-- with a couple of pieces missing [although it was either advertised as complete or at least did not mention missing pieces as I recall]. By way of apology, the seller inserted into the package three card games I have no interest in.

So, I'm looking to trade them if possible. I've never traded before and so may ask some pointers and newbie questions how-to but I've a good marketplace rating at least. What I'm most looking for is Jungle, preferably a Chinese version, but I've listed a few games I have DIY versions of as well for which I'd not mind a "real" copy. Anyone interested should GM me or post here. What I have to trade is listed in my trade list.

I'm also open to other offers.

An ash I know, Yggdrasil its name. With water white is the great tree wet; thence come the dews that fall in the dales. Green by Urth's well does it ever grow.

I suggest that you contact Keng Ho Pwee about acquiring a copy of the game you seek.

He is in Singapore, but he can find a copy, and he is great to work with.

He's a collector of rare dice, so if you can find some interesting ones in Israel, then you'd be in luck.

I'd do a three-way trade, as I have a game which he has high on his wants, Football Frenzy. But unfortunately the items you have for trade aren't things which I am interested in.

As for general trade advice, I suggest that you send inquiry geekmail to users who you have trade matches with. Not too many people reply to unsolicited trade offers, but approximately 15% will actually reply to geekmail.

I must admit that your for trade list would not likely bring too many matches. The Math Trade has supplanted much of the 1:1 trading and Ultimate Trades around the site... but you never know.

Peace,
Christian

Hi Moshe,

Do you have access to a mailing address in North America, or is Israel the only place you can send/receive games? I ask because I suspect this could make trades fairly expensive for you and the other participant. There is a copy of Dou Shou Qi going for $5 on Amazon.com (looks like a paper map) and a nicer looking one on ebay for $25. My guess is that, for games at this price range, it's cheaper to buy than trade unless you have someone that can participate in a domestic trade.

Justin

Hm. I don't have a US mailbox but I do have friends and some family there. Frankly, I'm most interested in unloading three card games I have no interest in but that someone else might like. Since I'm selective abotu what I buy, I don't really have other games I'd want to part with. There are games I've had since childhood I don't play much, but not many of these either, and I'm reluctant to for example part with a copy of Battleshipmy father gave me when I must have been maybe nine or some such.
