Quick reminder: If you are NOT being effected by the recession, no answers to the reduction questions are needed - skip to the last question instead.

Q4 - Missing option: I was already poor and couldn't afford games before the recession!

Not that I mind (I don't), but did I already see another version of this post last week?

For what it's worth, I anticipate my game purchases to increase this year with the advent of so many games I want!

John Maynard Keynes would be VERY UPSET at anyone who reduces their game purchases because we are in a recession.

You are making things worse - you should buy more games, not less!

That's right, I've not personally felt any impact from this so called recession. In fact, I'm a little better off now that gas prices have fallen to less than half. Because of the lower gas prices I could theoretically purchase about 2-3 more games a month, notwithstanding my wife.

I can buy luxury items like games, or lose the house. No-brainer. And I doubt people are hoarding their incomes; everyone is still spending money on food, bills, etc. Money is flowing. Don't blame the people, blame the system that failed us through their greedy mismanagement.

Another Q4-missing option:

I consider my game addiction "too big to fail" and expect government subsidies.

I agree completely, but unfortunately my wife does not. I tell her that I'm simply trying to help us get out of the recession, but she won't listen.

I have so many games that I have bought and have not played, that I could play one a week and not purchase a new one until next Christmas.

Even if I was going to reduce my game buying (which I am not) I would hope that the recession might swamp ebay with neglected unwanted games that I could snaffle up! Thus I might get more games for the same expenditure...

Cheers
David

all boxes in sweet condition.

my son got em at an auction with my folks couple years back for 20 bucks so he couldnt be happier.
