I feel your pain. I have too many games and not enough opponents.

Have I got a deal for you! Have you ever heard of a pyramid system, in which you make a small investment of your unplayed games (to me) and then you get 10 people to give you games, and we all win. It can't fail! Hmm, maybe I should start a new thread with this idea.......

kidding

I have the same problem. But sometimes I like to dress up as my mother and play games, my mother always wins. Then she tells me to go tend to the motel tennats because they are dirty and need to be dealt with.

Whoa, wait, to much info.

I know what you mean.

My partner is the only person I get to play games with. Factor in demanding jobs and an even more demanding teenager and we don't get to play nearly as much as I'd like.

But still I keep buying games......

I am not above a solo game or 2 - I tell myself - "Self" it will help me when I finally get to play the game with real people and not just against myself dressed up like The Terminator - you know so I can kick the Terminators butt.

I tried that once but I got the non-English version and the language barrier was too much to overcome. So, most of my games still sit unplayed.

... while I found some of the comments here amusing, I feel compelled to add a bit of practical advice:

Add your province and city/town to your BGG profile. There may be other gamers local to you who feel the same way...

I tried that once, but she wanted $300 an hour, and I said no way was I paying that much to play board games. I knew she was a faker anyways when she replied "board games?"

For those missing the obvious - this is satire

I tried that option but after 1 hour I was still there explaining rules she was not so interested, so i think it's not worthwhile laugh

For a while I didnt have many people to play with either...no regular game group, or game night...but luckily I found a couple of geeks! and we play a couple times a week. but Im dreading the day when they move away...(and they will. I live in a small town and people always move away for the lust of the city)
