Hi,

I recently rearranged my games and this evening I found a single purple die on the ground. I have no idea, to which game it could belong.

It is rather small 6-sided plastic die (about 1 square centimeter) of purple color with a silvery shimmer, and instead of dots it has Arabic numerals.

The first to point me to the right game in my collection will receive 20 GeekGold from me.

Edit: Increased from 5 to 20 GG; grammar

Could it be from Shadows Over Camelot? One of the life point dice?

OK, whew.

I've got no suggestions, but for a second there, I thought you were going to murder a game, and wanted us to help select the victim...

No, its not from Shadows over Camelot. Sorry, I did not mention that it is a plastic die, not a wooden die... Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!

I believe some of the original Beyond Valor: ASL Module 1 had a purple die.

No, it's not Beyond Valor - ASL Module 1 either.

I know that an image would be good. Unfortunately, my digicam is out of order. And of course I do not expect anybody to go through my collection and do research on which game has a small purple dice. I just found the dice to be unusually small and digits are also not very commonly used in dice, so I am hoping that somebody reads my message and immediately has an idea to which game this could belong to.

Anyhow, I am offering 20 GG for the first person to suggest the right game.

I saw a version of Pachisi/Ludo once that had dice like that. Maybe yours does?

My guess is that it came with a 10mm polyhedral die set.

My guess would be Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage
It has a die exactly as described.

Don't the dice look like this for that game?

Those have a 'marbling' appearance whereas the 'one' HE is going "on" abouts have some metallic 'sheen'.

My immediate reaction is that the fact it uses numbers instead of dots, means it is used together with larger dice (d10-d12-d20)

the colour and sheen makes me think of space/scifi...

So my best guess would be a space-themed game where you use a lot of different dice.

I think it was your Secret Santa. He/She planted the die in your house and they will complete the rest of the game come xmas morning.

Sorry that I did not answer the entire day - I had to do some Christmas baking with my son today.

I would love to play a game of Laser Trolls; looks like good ol' AmiTRASH, I must say! But unfortunately, I do not possess a copy of this game, so the dice cannot be from this game.

I also looked at Tales of the Arabian Nights, Buffy, and Formula Dé, but it is not from these games either.

Well, looking at the image, I have to say that marbling is probably the correct description!

I managed to fix my digicam and took a picture of the dice beside a regular dice for comparison. Unfortunately, the flashlight lets the dice appear as blue, but it is actually purple.

There is still 20GG to be awarded!!!
