The robot opponent I play against is the ancient race (I suspect it is one of the easier start worlds).

I deal two sets of 6 cards for my start hand and choose one or the other (discarding the 2 extra cards from my choice as per rules).

I do not play with the 6 cost development counters. If a 6 point development card shows up as per normal play I will play it if applicable, as per normal game rules.

As I am playing, the first starting world that shows up in play will be tagged for use as my starting world for the next game.

I think this tweak doesn't "nerf" the robot too much, keeps me from getting frustrated, adds variety to the game, and helps prepare me to handle a tougher robot in the future.
