On ebay there are a ton of Sorry Sliders going for about the retail cost $15-$20. However, the ebay descriptions all claim the game is sold out in stores. This forum thread also suggests it is difficult to find in stores. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/362076

I tried two Meijers when it was on sale for $10 and didn't find it. Ended up picking it up at Walmart for $15. So compared to a lot of mass market stuff it's hard to find, but not THAT hard.

I checked Wednesday at Walmart, Toys R Us, and two Targets, and didn't find it. I saw shelf space for it (with label) at one of the Targets. Also, the kid working at Walmart said they sell fast, but he was surprised they were out.

TRU basically sucks now, at least my local one does. They added a shelf, which makes the board game area very cramped, but somehow they seem to actually have less inventory than before. I won't go there for games anymore.

Can't find a Wii console anywhere either, but at least the kids aren't expecting that, so it's okay if I don't find one. Sorry Sliders, on the other hand, is apparently a big deal. I've never heard of it, and haven't seen the commercial, so I'm not sure what the appeal is.

I picked up a copy last weekend. Saw it upstate (NY) during Thanksgiving, so I thought it would be everywhere. Well, a week later, none of the Wal-marts around here had it. Looked online at Target after my local one also was out, and found only ONE store on Long Island that still had it in stock. Got over there, and couldn't find it on the shelf at all... finally, I happened to see some stacked on top of the row that had dolls and whatnot in it. There were maybe 20-30 copies up there. $15, same price as Wal-Mart. So I'd say, yes, stores are definitely selling out of this. And why not? It's a ton of fun at a great price.

Wow - that's a concern .

This game is WAY too much fun for so many people to miss out on.
People who are on the fence at all should pick it up pronto.
I can't imagine a mass-market game like this being so limited in production, but if so, a lot of people will be missing the best affordable table-top shuffleboard game ever made (obviously IMO).

I've pondered your attempting-to-be-inciteful reply, but I can't decode it.

Every way I approach it, Yogi's comment is inapplicable to mine in regards to Sorry Sliders.

Care to elaborate, Paul? Perhaps I'm missing something.

All the Wal-Mart, Target's and TRU's in my area (Northern IL) are sold-out. I did pick one up today at TRU in Crystal Lake. They are around, but hard to come by.

Amazon is selling them for . . . wait for it . . . $43! How insane! In other news, I found only empty shelves at 2 TRU and 1 Target in the Cincinnati area.

That's not Amazon directly, but from one of the sellers that put their stuff on Amazon. It looks like Amazon itself doesn't have them anymore.

I got one from them in October for $10.47. Since I ordered some other things, shipping was free.

You complain that people won't be able to get it. But the only reason they can't get it it because so many people have gotten it.

Big time, you guys are all after a new, inexpensive game. I picked up one of these for a friend in Europe on Thanksgiving day and there were plenty of them available (for 10$ on sale at local chain Meijer no less!).

I'm not surprised to hear that the game is scarce because we're getting closer to Christmas. Just wait until January, you'll be able to pick this up anywhere again.

The difference between a koala and I, is that one is fortunate enough to not understand english and therefore oblivious to snarky, useless replies, and the other is not.

I didn't realize this was a dexterity game. I've always thought of the markers in the originaly Sorry as sliders as is.

Target.com had them in stock this morning. I ordered, with 3-6 day delivery. It's cheaper than the Ebay prices.

That's exactly it. It just happens to be the hot game this year. If you don't need it for a Christmas gift, wait until January. Right now the stores are ordering a big stock of the game in hopes to meet the current demand, though relatively few will get them on the shelves for the holiday. Come January though, everyone will have it again. I still casually check my Target and Wal-Hell for it only to be greeted by empty shelves, but ultimately I can wait and I'd almost rather some kid or family gets it that can/will play it while they're together for the holidays (because, really, getting the kids and family playing games really just helps the hobby overall). It's kind of like the Wii - several stores in my area had it in stock and on the shelf in actual quantity a month ago, but everyone is selling out again due to the season. Though production is a lot closer to demand than it was last year, so it'll be on the shelves again next month.

Interesting--every time I've checked Target.com, it says it's only availalbe in stores (which are always sold out). And right now when I checked Target.Com it said the same thing.

Was there some special trick to ordering it at Target? Right now it says its unavailable, but they can e-mail you when it comes in.
