About to go on a trip with my lady for 3 weeks. just got a copy of Scotland Yard...only played it once as a kid.

Trying to decide which is the better 2-player game...Scotland Yard or Mr. Jack (which we play EXTENSIVELY).

Can anyone lend some insight here?

FWIW...the other fave games we're bringing along are
- Dungeon Twister
- Carcassone + Traders&Builders + TheCount
- Heroscape Marvel (new)
- Pandemic (maybe if there is room).

I find Scotland Yard to be the much better game, by far.

I love both, but I'd say Scotland Yard isn't a good one for just 2 players.

I would go with Mr Jack then...

Both are good games but Scotland Yard is a longer, more involved game, whereas Mr Jack is a quicker play. Scotland Yard is really fun...Mr Jack is a bit more brain-scrambling and your best-laid plans can go awry depending on what character cards come up.

Scotland Yard also requires more space, so that may also be something to consider depending on where you are going.

Have fun!

2 player Scoltand Yard eliminates one of the best aspects of the game: discussions and coordination between policemen.

Although I think good session of 3-4 player Scotland Yard is much more enjoyable than Mr. Jack, I think I'd rather play Mr. Jack than 2-player Scotland Yard.
