There must be a few of us out there for whom Christmas was more than just new boardgames wow. So what was your favourite non-game-related present? Perhaps you received a particularly comfortable pair of slippers, or a new electric drill, or even a ride in a hot-air balloon?
Go on, pick just one and let us have an insight into the person behind the gamer. ninja

Cool! Did my presentation of it convince you? Remember to always shoot in raw and post-process on the home computer. Unfortunately, you have to move off of the auto setting.

Another cool thing that I learned about the G10 is that the flash sync speed can go way above 1/250th of a second. Although I will admit that it looks goofy with a 580EXII sitting on top of it (or a Pocket Wizard for that matter).

This year my dad asked that I not pay him my share of our family plan. If you don't have one of these cards then you have no idea what you're missing. AAA is awesome!

Next year I hope he gets me a new Porsche. Probably not, but I can still dream.

Yeah, after seeing yours we went and checked it out, and read some reviews. Had to get it.

Was trying to convince her that for $150 more we could have gotten the SLR. But that one may have to wait.

Starbucks had these stuffed reindeer - came in ornament size and a size up from that.

My 7 year old son wanted one of the ornaments badly. Really.

So the next time we're in there he had managed to save $5 and wanted to buy one, but they are sold out (which is great, because I had bought the last two) of the littlest size. So he asks if he can buy the bigger one. They've gone on sale already, so I agree to lend him .50 so he can get it.

On Christmas Eve the kids and their cousins open gifts from their aunts and uncles. But under our tree is three grocery bags, labelled with post-it notes to mommy from Sean, Daddy from Sean and Sarah from Sean.

Mine had the reindeer and something he made in it.

Oooh, tough one!

Normally I *always* ask for LEGO, knowing I'll never get it (this has been going on since I was a little kid). However my friends surprised me with:

This would make my third copy, but I really wanted three so it was doubly perfect!

However! My mom also got me a garlic roaster... and I looooooooove garlic and I never would have thought of buying one myself since I only seemed to remember I wanted one when I was ordering it from a menu. So, you see, I got two perfect gifts, so I can't pick just one.

Now, if someone got me a garlic roaster made out of LEGO... :o

I quoted this post because it's the first time I've ever seen Tripp use the word "awesome". So, before he decided to edit his post, I wanted to preserve it here for all eternity.

At the same time, though, he's correct: AAA is awesome. I've been a member for many years and it's been a great value. cool

It was a small present i gave my wife as a stocking stuffer. A dollar store item, an toy alien in some sort of goop, with a blow up tool to make a bubble around the alien. So far every night before bed, i enter the bed room and see her practicing giving her little alien a blow job.

Two of those fleece blankets with arms that come with book lights that you may have seen advertised recently on t.v. They are so warm and comfortable!
