Can someone point me to some articles on repainting figures? Do you justy put a new base coat on and paint again, or do you first remove the paint? Thanks

Are you talking about plastic or metal minis?

I don't think you can safely strip plastic minis without messing up the plastic, unless something new has come along.

For metal minis, I've used carburetor cleaner, but there's probably other paint strippers as well.

I would strip them if possible, so that the details will stand out better.

I am talking about plastic. That was my concern about repainting, as failing to strip the paint would mask the detail. Thanks

This is a blatant example of frivolous geek gold spending.

I spent 100 geek gold and all I got was this lousy overtext.

I don't know what's in the links (I'm at work at the moment), but either brake fluid or Simple Green will strip plastic minis without harming them - just immerse and let soak for a day or two. If any parts come loose (sometimes the glue will break down), you can just glue them back together again before repainting.
