GADG - Gamers against Drinkers Gaming

Another tragic story of mixing Alchol and Board Games. No one thinks about the innocent board game.

I feel for you Dice and cards. I'll raise a glass of koolaid to you. I hope you make it out safe. beacuse we don't know what will be hurt next.

PS. I do open my home to all abused games.

It sounds like you'd do good with some Face to Face conflict.

These you mention might be good for theme, but you probably don't need both. Descent: Journeys in the Dark > Doom: The Boardgame but very similar play. Sounds like you'll end up with lots of broken minis, though.

Here are some others your group might like, if they like trashing each other. (Some more serious than others)
A Game of Thrones (first edition)

Risk 2210 A.D. or Risk: Star Wars Original Trilogy Edition

Blood Feud in New York Gangsters!

Ikusa Includes lots of d12 to throw, and swords to stab each other with!

RoboRally My group has a couple players that just play this to trash other people's robots, and don't pay attention to the goals.

Monsters Menace America It's fun trashing enemy monsters with tanks, missiles, and watching them swat futility at them as they hit.

Nexus Ops Probably best for fast neighbor trashing, and still not too hard to get.

Talisman (Revised 4th Edition) Seems like something a rowdy group would like. Entirely possible to play a whole game just hosing over other players.

Gammarauders Better than Monsters Menace, and fairly cheap on 2nd Hand market. All about building monsters, armies and trashing each other's fortresses.

Battleground: Crossbows & Catapults War Chest Starter Set No recliners, but looks like about what you end up doing anyway.

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots

And Probably the best for your group....Lawn Darts

I'd avoid most Euros, if even 25% of what you describe is true of your group. They can be fun, but in a different, doing accounting work sort of way....if that can be considered fun.

I hate to sound like a BSG fanboi, but I can't see a better game for people that like to fight.

I don't recommend Arkham Horror -- the game doesn't really have anything I'd call surprising in it. Sure it can be tough, and there are lots of random encounters, but there are not really any big swings of luck, huge surprises, etc.

I would moderately recommend Fury of Dracula (second edition), since at least Drac and the players can surprise each other with well-prepared cards, traps, and escapes.

I would also moderately recommend BANG! for sheer craziness. It's pretty light, but it's worth it! (Prepares for the flaming...)

I'd totally agree with Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game. Accusing people of being a Cylon is loads of unexpected fun.

Your group may have fun with Ca$h 'n Gun$. Short and sweet with guns to point and standoffs for all.

I support the recommendation for Cash n' Guns. I would discourage you from spending $80 on Descent if your game nights turn into throwing stuff around. There's alot of little peices that would get lost and small pointy plastic pieces that could get busted under foot.

...We just get crazy sometimes....arrrh

I'd suggest a case of beer, a pick-up truck, and a variety of firearms.

You guys are way beyond games.

Ca$h 'n Gun$ was my first thought as well. Mall of Horror could work well too. Both much shorter than the games you mention, but heavy with theme.

For an example of the rowdiness, last time we played a game, we took a break to go poop in some girls showers in the house next to ours (somehow they knew it was us even though no one saw us), and the game ended in a "throw everything in sight as hard as you can for 10 minutes fest"

Have they considered playing a long session of Grow the f**k up

Just asking.
