I wish publishers would choose unique names for games. Several times now, I've clicked an image of Iron Tide: Panzers in the Ardennes, thinking, "Oh, cool--I thought this was a light miniatures game, but it has unit-counters and looks like it might be pretty good."

But of course it turned out I was thinking of Tide of Iron. And when I saw Iron Tide, I discovered it's bigger and more complex than I like.

shake (end of gripe)

I was going to PM you - but what the heck...

What was that set of rules for use with SL and ASL components...? I just sold some of my unpainted Warhammer mini's and have some cash to spend.

thanks and sorry to bother you again...i couldn't even remember what thread your original suggestion was in.

I went looking for a copy of Busen Memo, and found a game called Memo Busen.

It wasn't the same thing at all.

This is a blatant example of frivolous geek gold spending.

I spent 100 geek gold and all I got was this lousy overtext.

I'm pretty sure he suggested Retro: Tactical WWII Wargame Variant Rules, although I can't remember which thread he said it in, either.

Too many games have the same, or nearly the same, titles. What is even worse, too many gamers rate the wrong game; read the friggin' game descriptions already!

If games just had numbers, no one would be confused.

Wha???
The fact both have expansions, and come from the same company, just makes it more confusing.

Oh yeah--and then there are the two or three (or more?) games named Lord of the Ring or War of the Ring.
