I'm really having a hard time making up my mind between Pacific or Europe. Although the theme of CC appeals to me more, the fact that 3 expansions are already out for CC:E means higher replay value. I know its early, but does anyone know if CC is a one shot deal or if it is going to be an expandible system like CC:E?

Thanks

Zak

To answer your direct question: I have no clue.

For replay value, though, it's worth noting that both CC and CC:E contain outstanding scenario generators that provide for *tons* of replay value.

Chances are there will NOT be a Mediterranean-like boxed expansion.

Battle packs, on the other hand, are already in the works.

What is the difference between battlepacks and boxed expansions (other than size of course)?

The only boxed expansion (CC:Med) added three more nationalities (Britain, France, Italy) along with the appropriate decks, units, maps, scenarios, etc. It was, in effect, the second half of CC:Europe. The battle packs add scenarios, maps and units focused around a particular area of the war.

To be clear: Mediterranean is NOT an expansion, but the other half of Europe. The designer had always intended it to be that way, but GMT split it into two parts for production and sales purposes.

The battlepacks are just additional scenarios with particular themes and sometimes additional rules for the theater, etc. Pacific will surely have these too, after all, CC has proven to be a really popular "franchise."

True. After trying the Allied minor powers, it feels like a contraction

There will most certainly be additional material for CC. The CC:E line will also continue to grow.

Thanks. I think I've made up my mind now and will go pick up a copy of CC.

Cheers,

I've got a specific list already prepared and have done some early work to specifically scope the first BP for CC.
