This question is about the Forecast Special Event card, which lets you look at the top six cards of the infection deck, rearrange them, and return them to the top of the deck.

Are the drawn cards intended to be discussed? My interpretation was that it intended only the Forecast card user to see the infection cards and carry out the action by himself. Others in my group argued for a more liberal interpretation which had the Forecast player reading out all the cards, and all players discussing what he should do.

Is there an official rule on this, or at least a general consensus?

We've always applied the rules for cards in your hand to that particular card's action: when you're playing anything but the "introductory difficulty" [or whatever "easy" is called], cards can be discussed generally but not shown [or read aloud]. At the intro-level, we discuss/show the drawn cards and come to a consensus decision.

Not sure if that's a "rule" but it seemed to be the sensible approach to us.

Like with your hand you can not show it but you can tell what you got.

This is a collaborative game why would anything be kept from other players?

We show everything and discuss every move with each other.

I enjoy how the designer felt that he needed to give permition for players to play how they wanted.
