Does anybody play the Facebook app Mafia Wars?

I just started playing and it reminds me of those old BBS doors games like "Baren Realms Elite", kind of a turn based group game you play once or twice a day.

just like the BBS games, the more friends you have playing the stronger you get.

If your playing Mafia Wars and would like to grow your Mafia please post and we could all group up.

I'm really not into the whole viral gaming thing. I'd like my chances of winning to be based on ability and a little luck, not on how well I can market for the game's creators.

My post was more about connecting people who already play.

I play, and I'm really happy with the additions they've done lately, with the collections and the job mastery (not to mention removing the mafia size minimums for doing jobs). It actually gives me something to do in the game, since I had little to no interest in fighting other players, and wasn't really growing my Mafia.

My wife is addicted to this and a vampire one, or at least she was. I personally can't stand them.

It's the same style as the mafia one, but you form vampire clans instead of gangs, and everything is vampire themed instead of mafia themed.

I'm burned out on it now, though.
