Hi
I just remembered that when i was a child (in the 80s), we had a board game with rules on a disc record - which was squared, not round.
I can´t remember much more. I think it had something to do with oil or at least money making, but that is not much.
The game was in German, but I think (don´t know why) that the original was in English.
Hey, I didn´t even remember if I enjoyed this game, or if I played it more than once.
I´m just curious if my memory betrays me or if this game really existed.
Any suggestions highly appreciated.
Thanks
Peter

Politrix is in English and although I doubt if it would have made its way into German I'm mentioning it in case anyone else is looking for a "record" game and finds your question.

Also, the record doesn't have the rules but instead has strategy hints "Vital to Your Campaign."

thanks for your answers
I´m sorry, but they are not what I looked for.
I repeat: the record was square, not round! (single format, so it also could be played on an ordinary record player) This is the one thing I think I remember for sure. (if this all was not a dream, but I doubt that )

oh yes, and the record was very flexible and quite thin, not the usual hard vinyl.

I got that bit about squareness Peter, I was just pleased to discover there were more rules-recordings from that era. And then someone pointed me on to another one I hadn't heard of (thanks!). Sorry I got more out of your question than you did so far, hope the next post will make both of us happy.

Peter, what's the German word for flexi-disc (that thin plastic 7" single format that these things come in)?
