I'm always on the lookout for 1) a game in which your intentions or
goals are disguised as long as possible into the game (excluding
cooperatives against an evil) ; and 2) a game in which you have to
lay out a series of moves in advance, and MUST stay with those plans
regardless of how fate or other players have altered the circumstances.
The RoboRally card setup is one example, but there must be some other
styles out there.

Other games with "programmed actions" are Wings of War and Himalaya. In Inkognito, you must figure out who your partner is, then secretly exchange information in order to figure out what your mission is, then complete that mission. In Maharaja, you must choose 2 generic actions before knowing, perhaps, when you will be able to carry them out, or what the situation on the board will be. El Grande is similar I suppose. In Colossal Arena, you can have one secret bet on a creature, but must hide it as long as possible so the opponent doesn't kill it off. In Kremlin, players commit all of their influence secretly to ten different politicians at the beginning of the game.

Metropolys - you earn points for building in certain districts and configurations, randomly secretly assigned at the start of the game.

Clans - you want your secretly assigned color to score highest.

Ribbit - turtles are racing and you want your secretly assigned turtle to be the winner.

Mr. Jack - the Jack player knows the killer's secret identity, which the Detective player must discover.

I think two good elements are oxygen and carbon. Those aren't my favorites by any means but two good ones to be sure.

Well, now, I'd have to submit platinum and palladium, with their
memorable prints in the history of black & white photography.
