Awhile back there was talk of putting up the template for Zimp and I missed it. So, I was wondering what program people are using to make their variants in; especially, on what's used to make the instructions on so it'll fold up like it does, but the printing is up and down on the same page.

Help, I'm slow here.

The rules are done in www.pocketmod.com. It is a download program and you make an 8 page doc with large font (around 28+) and make it a pdf and then make the pdf a pocketmod. In regards to the variants I use Adobe Photoshop LE. If you want a "template" of the rooms for ZimP geekmail me your address and I can email you.

Awesome dude! I've been dying to tinker with variants. Let me get off-shift and I'll take a look at the info.

Thanks

Actually it would be easier if I just uploaded the blank room jpeg to my gallery. So here you go.

Thanks to everyone for the file help, you guys and gals rock.

My son and I are working on a couple variants:

Fallout 3
Space Hulk
a Steampunk version
and a zombie variant based of the Morningstar Strain series of books.

We'll keep you tunned in with how progess goes.

Hey Bill I would LOVE a Fallout 3 variant, are you still working on that? Steampunk is a great idea too.

I've shelved the other variants at the moment.....I've been playtesting games for a few companies so much lately I haven't even had time to work on my own steampunk game.

Between the drinking, the playtesting, work, and family, time just seems to fly.

Of course, for the Fallout game, the snag that I've come across is trying to find enough graphics to give it the right feel, without taking them directly from the gamebook.
