My two and a half year old daughter has lately been having fun with Loopin' Louie.
She likes to get Louie out of the box and assemble everything herself...
(She even figured out to push the arms down into place from above... more brains than her daddy mustered for the task.)
Even just the switch-on gives pause for a moment of celebration and happiness...
... and then the game is on in earnest.
Note the lack of chicken chits. They are considered fun but distracting.
("Want to hold chicken chips!"
"Ok. How many would you like?"
When the chits are in play, she spends her time trying to tidy them back into place as fast as Louie can knock them down. Without the chits, it's all about how high you can make Louie loop.
She has her own turn...
... pretty good!
Then it's Cat's turn...
Edit: NB: This image is the only one I loaded to the game gallery.
... a top shot!
And then Tortome the Tortoise. (Tortome is always slow and never manages much of a shot.)
(Daddy's turns go in there too, when no cameras are out.)
Fun and games continue for many minutes, and a good time is had by all.
When she's a bit older, we'll talk about trying to protect the chickens. At the moment, it's Out Of Scope.
