So I've played most of the combinations suggested in the rules a few times but randomly choosing action cards can sometimes be a little disappointing, so, fellow Dominion players: giveme your favourite combinations.

Here's the rules. You may only post one combination, and it must be one you have actually played and enjoyed. Also, you must give it a funky name.

Then, vote up your favourites from the combinations others have posted. After a month or so, I'll compile the favourites into a PDF and post it here.

SO, BGG, show me what you got (I'll post mine soon - I don't have the game with me now).

Mega Bomb

Throne Room -> Throne Room -> Smithy -> ?

Draw 6 cards (getting 3 more than you started with) and still be able to play at least one of the eight--twice! You'll get a bunch of Treasures and it is a great start to a huge chain.

In a game with no moats:

+Actions (Village/Festival or Throne+ any +Action card)
Council Rooms {repeat as needed}
A few Bureacrats
A final Militia

I get my entire deck, they get to return some VP cards to their deck and then discard down to 3 cards every turn.

Turbo Remodel

Throne Room > Remodel to turn 2 provinces into 2 more provinces.

If you do this early enough and there are no attack or Gardens cards, it works. Especially if you Chapel your deck down to just 5 cards: The throne room, remodel, and 3 provinces.

One of my favorite combos from a recent BSW game involved a string of Festivals and Labs mixed with Council Rooms... followed by a Militia. ("OK, every body take another card. And another. And now... discard down to 3.") That was fun.

Book Fair

Festival + Library is great, especially when other people are using Militia. Cellars make it even better, but I can't come up with a funky name that makes sense for that combo.

I could be wrong, but I think when the OP said "combinations", his meaning was "sets of 10 kingdom cards", given that he said "I've played most of the combinations suggested in the rules a few times..." That's probably a more difficult question to answer.

War Room

3-5 Villages, 2-4 Council Rooms and 1 Militia.

Buy enough Villages and Council Rooms to draw your whole deck, cap off with Militia to strip your opponents' hands and buy 2 Provinces a turn.

Ah, you could be right, but in general card gaming terms, "Card Combos" (Combinations) usually refer to playing 2 or more cards in combination to create a cool effect or strategy.

If he used "Favorite Action Card Set-up" we all would have gotten his drift.

Since it's started I's say keep this thread about Card Combo's and make a new one for set-ups.

Garden Shop

Workshop, Gardens, Estates.

The purest form I play that catches most new players off guard is Buy two Workshops first 2 turns. Play a Workshop every turn for a Gardens, if 3+ Coins buy a Workshop if less buy a copper. Do that until Gardens and Workshop pile is depleted then Turbo through the Estate pile with Workshops and Buys. If you start on the Estates too soon (by not buying coppers instead) your deck will get diluted too soon.

When you play experienced players is when it gets interesting, because you both start this combo and then have to switch gears with a crappy deck devil

Only played this hand once, but with 18 treasure and multiple buys, I was pretty happy with it.

Yes he is asking for 10 card combinations that have been played and were enjoyed by those playing. With a funky name.

Better to keep it to a few cards you can play in one hand and not a full set of 10 Kingdom cards. Who wants to put a name to each of the 3,ooo,ooo combinations of those possible? Besides, there's not too much difference to warrant the full list if your combos only rely on two or three cards in the set. Furthermore, you don't get the cream that made the set interesting if you don't focus on the two or three important cards that you liked.

Here's another: By Hook or by Crook

Chain some Spies, then play a Thief if you find Gold or Bureaucrat if you find a Victory card.

We were supposed to give the combos names, so if I may be so bold as to suggest names for the above:

Peter's Festival + Smithy -- Arts & Crafts Fair

... and ...

BT Carpenter's Council Rooms + Bureacrats + Militia -- When Diplomacy Fails
