I like Midnight Comics the best (@Westheimer and Hwy 6), they have a decent selection but the owner is very nice and will order you anything you need.

Nan's down on Hwy 59 near Shepherd probably has a better selection but they charge OVER msrp for many games and they aren't as friendly IMHO.

I'll second the recommendation for Midnight Comics. Good game selection - the ones popular on this site, of course. He also a good inventory of D&D minis and CCGs.

Midnight is a good store - I found that one on my own!

I'm looking for war games, A&A Minis, etc.

Where is Nan's? I don't know the area well, just a short term visitor.

Does anyone know of "Asgard Games"? The fellow at Midnight suggested them.

Have not been there myself. Did the guy at Midnight recommend them for wargames? If so will have to pop a visit there this weekend

Yeah, Asgard Games has quickly become the premier wargames and miniatures store in Houston due to it's central location, in-store gaming, and friendly staff. The only place that might have a better miniatures selection would be Little Wars out in Spring. Nan's Games most likely has a better wargame selection for purchasing, but doesn't have any facilities for in-store gaming.

I've got a list of all known Houston area game store on my club's website:
http://www.meetup.com/starjammer/pages/Local_Game_Stores/ if you want to see what else is available in the area.

There's a pretty good selection of wargamers showing up there for in-store gaming due to it's central location, if I wasn't already committed to hosting gaming events out in Katy I'd most likely be going there myself this weekend as I'd love to get in some wargaming.

I'm only in the country for a short bit, and there is no gaming in Bolivia yet!

I have some serious shopping to do. laugh

You've been a tremendous help.
