Someone has a Geeklist for Free animated Avatars and invited others to make some. I seem to be stuck on Dominion Cards and I've made two already. I'll probably spend my lunch hours making more and I'll post them here. If you Right-Click/Save-As the image it will be a .jpg, just rename the extension to .gif to put it back to it's original animated form.

Chapel

Money Lender

Festival

Smithy

I'll maybe do 3 a week, I'll post new ones here and bump the thread.

The original List is here:

Festival Added.

I put too much detail in, like the guys fighting with swords. It may be too much for when it's shrunk down this small.

LOVE the avatars, can't wait for more.

Although I'm still not sure why the poor Moneylender gets drowned in apricots.

Man, I almost forgot about these...

Been too busy at work lately and other projects. I'm still working on artwork for my own game when I have time, which seems like never.

The Festival Artwork, I brought into Photoshop, cut out certain elements and pasted them into new layers. I'd then go through each of the "background" layers and paint in the missing parts (like the hole that cutting the guy out left). Then I'd cut the characters up; arms and any other articulated spots, eyes for winking, mouth and put them into other layers. Then I'd bring that Photoshop file into after effects and animate each layer.

It sounds like a lot, but I would shrink them down pretty small so there wasn't too much detail to paint/clone. After animating them, I'd shrink it down to avatar size and that helps hide a lot of the stuff that really stands out at full size. They all took about one lunch hour at work. Festival took a couple or three.

The fireworks are from a freeware particle program, I can't remember the name right now.

The funniest part about the festival, is I spent the time to make the two sword fighters in the background fence, and you can barely see it.
