You wake up to find yourself the denizen of some twisted backwater astral plane ruled over by the Demon King of Fire, Adramelech. He has ascertained that you have gotten off the wrong bus and is prepared to unbind you from his plane under the condition you defeat him in a game of most dire consequence, a game of your choosing, a game for your very soul. Think twice, speak once. Snatch the pebble grasshopper..

(Respond on the Geeklist of the same name if you prefer, I didn't know how to post a GeekList when I posted this)

Good Luck,

Alocrius

How about he has to defeat me in tic-tac-toe and I'll even let him have the first move ...

That is a very bold move my friend. I'm not sure Adramelech would cooperate though.

(And I'd use A.14 to defeat him)

Peace.

I see he knows when he is beaten then devil

Alternatively, we can play hammer paper, scissors and rock ... but my natural politeness would require that he plays first (both selecting and revealing before I do) ...

I'm sure you were looking for a more realistic choice showing what game we think we are very good at.
since I always crush new players. Ill take Cross Up Poker.

I had to look at my owned games list.

I'd pick a co-wager: If he loses, he's expelled as well.

---

If he agrees with the co-wager, I'd pull out Arkham Horror. We co-operate, and we both get what we want. He'd STILL accidentally pull Azathoth, though, the fucker.

If he doesn't, I'd pull out Gulo Gulo. That way, if he wins, he's got the wimpiest fuckin' story to tell for all of eternity. I can see it now:

"I won the soul of He Who Was Paul."
"How did you do that, O Great One?"
"I played a wolverine, stealing eggs from a nest."
(From that point on, cool demons give him wide berth and/or a wedgie.)

I spend the rest of eternity in stalemate.

It'd probably piss him off a lot.

But isn't this the very definition of Hell for a boardgamer?

Not to mention with the lack of written rules, he could play the old switcharoo and let you get two symbols in a row, finish it off with a third and claim to have won (aka, the cheat idea from the cheat GeekList).

Accept that the lord knows the devils thoughts before the devil does. does that make the lord a cheater? or does being the supreme being mean everything you do is good?
