Susan Polgar's blog reprints and links to daily chess news from all over the world. It is a good first stop to find out about the latest in chess:

Alexandra Kosteniuk is the current Women's World Chess Champion. She is also a fashion model who has appeared in Russian editions of Elle, Vogue, and Marie-Claire. Her site is full of chess games, videos, photos, lessons, problems ... all sorts of great stuff:

Jennifer Shahade is a two-time US Women's Chess Champion, author of the book Chess Bitch, and the current editor of the online version of Chess Life magazine. For the moment, she seems to have given up competitive chess for professional poker.

OK, here're Polly Wright's blogs. I have to confess that I don't know anything about Polly except what she says about herself: that she's a 50's-something chess teacher from New York, New York. But I also have to admit that I find the blogs of ordinary people much more interesting, in general, than those of the famous. (I suppose that's why I am addicted to reality TV.)

Anyway, Polly's chess blogs are two of the very best out there, and I recommend especially her report on the Fischer Symposium that was recently held at the Marshall Chess Club in NY.
