If you enjoyed the curling event at the Olympics this year, you'll enjoy this game. Your goal is to slide your pucks down the alley, off of the rubber bands and into the scoring zones. The closer you get to the pit, the more you score, and if you slide too hard, the puck will zip into the pit, and you get nothing. After all eight pucks are played, each player adds his points on the scorekeeping slides on the gameboard, and you repeat until someone gets 500 points.

Strategy is straightforward, but not nearly as easy to implement. Often, your choice is to either get one of your pucks into the points, or zip yours down and hope to knock enemy pucks out of contention. At several points, you'll likely increase your opponents score by not hitting hard enough.

The game is a simple yellow plastic molded board with blue lettering. The pucks are ball bearings with red and blue plastic rings, and work well. A later version of the game offers a green board, with an ultimate scoring area, black post thatcuts off a section of the pit, and sliding areas to catch pucks that aren't flung hard enough.

Rebound is a game that works well for kids and adults alike, because finesse is more of a factor than strength. If you can find it at a thrift store, grab it, it is well worth the money.

IMHO its well worth tracking down an original copy. The newer, two piece version is completely inferior. It doesn't fit together very well, and the thinner plastic is prone to warping.

Crosley makes a wooden one piece version for around 90 dollars(us). It looks extremely well made and durable. For that price it should last a lifetime.
