I haven't seen anything new about preordering and am looking forward to sending out some money.

Also would it be possible to get the expansion linked from the Age of Empires III game page.

Much Thanks,
Darrell

Ditto--- I don't want the information on this one to die off, only to be forgotten, like the deluxe war of the ring!

I'm eagerly awaiting the info to. I really like the game (even though we played it seriously wrong the first 2 times), I'm curious as to where they'll take this.

Things are on track, but plastics injection molding takes time.

The new artwork for the new Capital Buildings is now done.

Still need to get the website/ webstore going. I'm guessing this will be ready in 3 weeks or so. Once that's ready, I'll make an official announcement (so far it was just a small comment).

The expansion should actually be ready to ship by June or July.

We've been playtesting the new stuff and it really gives the game a different flavor. The increased number of Capital Buildings gives the game more variety (plays different each time). It also means that you can no longer count on a certain Capital Building coming out, so you have to play more flexibly.

A few minor tweaks and it's looking pretty balanced.

Having more capital buildings is a very good idea for development. We always play so that the first five Age III buildings are visible to everyone from the start.

This way everyone can attempt to direct their long-term strategy based on the available buildings at the end. We even use an option to "reserve" any visible Age III building instead of buying new building from Age I or II. When there are more buildings, this rule change becomes even more interesting.

Interest high, drool pool forming !

So far I cannot see anything not to like....except the colour perhaps, from a different list some weeks ago, so in 6 player black is the new white ( or vice versa )

Great, I have two friends who regularly insist on playing purple in Agricola, and lament the no purple option in AoE III.

Of course now I'll have 7 player sets, but I guess that's the nature of things.

Are the countries still getting there variable start powers? And if so, will Black and White be represented? If I'm going to have 7 countries, I'd like options. If not, oh well, this is still going to be a great expansion.

Thanks for the update!

Are we going to be able to purchase additional plastic coins to go with the new player pieces?
I haven't been able to find the coins anywhere for sale lately.

Thanks,
Darrell

Thats great news ! Thanks God that the game is rather language independent. Hmm speaking of which, what are the plans for let's say a german version ? I slightly prefer language consistency within a single board game (if i don't have to wait for years).

Why not black ? Hasn't it won the poll ?
The choice of purple seems not very customer friendly.

It's just Black and White.

Blue, Red and Yellow are Primary colors.

Green, Orange and Purple are Secondary colors.

I guess it fits the Color Wheel of gaming pieces
