I was at the Seven Years War Association Convention in South Bend Indiana over the weekend where I ran a series of games using the Hasting board but Horse and Musket units. It is a miniatures convention so I used toys soldiers rather than wooden counters but the rules were the same. Ein Ritter Spiel rules cover from Ancients to Napoleonics so it was a simple matter.

Three games happened and everyone seemed happy. Heck I even got to win a game. Players found that their units fell apart as they played and victory usually went to the person who could reorganize first. Each game lasted 30 to 45 minutes.

I was very happy with the outcome and am encouraged that I should publish more Ein Ritter Speil games. They are abstract but fun.
