Apparently, Mayfair will be publishing Feurio! game soon. I came across it on FunAgain's website. It will be titled Ablaze! Here's a link to the item: http://www.funagain.com/control/product/~product_id=020144

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything to corroborate this. I just found links to articles that no longer exist.

I mentioned this game's impending release in one of my reports from the 2009 NY Toy Fair. The release date announced at the time was May 2009, which means Mayfair will likely send out a detailed press release within the next month.

I wonder if it will also come with the Vulcan rules? Feurio is a neat game in its class. So is Vulcan.

Hi,

I am proud blush to announce, that Ablaze (a "theme box" as I call it) not only will contain a slightly improved version of Feurio! and Vulkan! but also the new game Ablaze!.

I will support my new game on my website as usual in due time - if I find the time I will program an online game as I did with Feurio! and Vulkan!.

Best Regards
Heinrich

I've long been a fan of Feurio. What are the improvements?

Here's hoping the rules will be available separately from Mayfair for those of us who already own "Feurio!"....

Hi,

* improved "firebreak" rule
when placing a firebreak the player is not forced to lose a pawn any more - he just may not place pawns in the same turn.

* not all tiles are in play
at the start of the game some tiles are put aside so the distribution of values differs from game to game

* always round down when computing points
this was a variant rule in the original version - it is a standard rule now

* variant "Dry Season"...
...meaning: no 1-tiles in play - thus lessening the luck factor. You might remember that quite some geeks criticized the lucky draw of 1-tiles.

* The plane and the vulcano...
... two additional tiles used for the "Volcano!" game.

* the cover cool
Uh - I did not see the new cover yet, but I hope it will be coooool

Best Regards
Heinrich

Aye, that should be interesting.

Ahh!

Thanks for the summary. I'm quite a fan of Feurio and have played it many many times, especially with my kids.

Hi Jeff!

I cannot promise anything at this point - but ...

...I would be very astonished if anybody would try to prevent me from supporting my customers ... or would suceed at such an endeavor .

Be assured - I will support anybody buying / playing my games using my website.

Best Regards
Heinrich
