As you leave the office after work and head to your car you hear a big, booming voice coming from the sky.

"Hey you, board game geek."
"Ahhhhhhhhh! Yes?"
"How ya doin'?"
"Fine, thanks."
"So, I've decided to make you choose between some stuff and boardgames. Here's the list. You have to give up this stuff or boardgames for the rest of your life."
"Why?"
"I don't know. It sounded fun. Just do it."

It would be a cruel world without beer and pizza! Also milk has to stay. It's just too awesome.

Many of these were pretty easy, but the two that made me think most were...

Your Favorite Sports Team - I chose to give up boardgames

Cheddar Cheese - I am from Wisconsin , but I chose to give up Cheddar Cheese... I'll get by on Muenster, Brick and Colby (I prefer all these to Cheddar anyway). Had it just been Cheese, I would have given up boardgames.

Apparently, I'd give up boardgames for 7 of these.

Those 2 were trivially easy for me. I don't even have a favorite sports team, and I'm vegan.

Giving up my kids was pretty easy too, seeing as how I don't have any.

It's good to know that Books are more important to people around here...I wouldn't say the same if the poll was created on a Videogame site.

My first wife gave me an ultimatum that either the games or she goes. My second wife is much more amenable.

Sex is the only thing I'd keep.

I find it interesting that more people would keep their spouses than sex.

So, it appears that my wife, any future kids, sex (to get the kids ), video games, books, Tottenham Hotspur, socks (I work in Japan so I HAVE to wear socks for my job - actually an official rule!), movies and vacations are all more important. Maybe milk too actually.
The rest aren't important and I hate coffee so that was easy!

EDIT: Oh and work is more important too. I've been unemployed before a number of years back. It's not fun at all.

good point. I would have given up board games if it just said cheese but because it just listed one type of cheese, I can do without that. Though, beer-cheese soup wouldn't ever taste the same...

I hate you. I'm an Aston Villa fan & the 2-1(?) defeat recently by Spurs was a crushing blow cry

Socks... I need socks more than boardgames. I don't really love socks but I couldn't give them up easily.

Pizza and coffee were tough to sacrifice. I drink a lot more coffee than I play boardgames but I suppose I could always drink tea or something.

I didn't keep "reading books", I figured rules booklets for some games would equal out to the same size as some shorter novels.

I was torn whether to keep the cheese or not, because I store my Cheese Chasers game, I designed in a hunk of cheddar...

...what am I to do? That would be getting rid of both at once!?!
