The Kansas City Area Gaming Association will be hold it's first get together on April 18th from 2-10 pm. This is a new gaming group that will be meeting twice a month for boardgaming. Boardgaming to include euros, wargames and miniatures.

The location is the Lakeland Community Church is just off 470 in Lee Summit. Our new location will allow us 8 hours to game so plenty of time for those long games like Here I Stand or to put on that Age of Steam tournament you've always wanted to do.

It's a great location with enough room for 50+ people (if we hit 50 we can bump up to an even bigger room) and big round tables that sit 6 people easy. Nice bonus about the room is we have a carpeted floor and a high insulated ceiling so noise even with a lot of people in the room won't be a problem. Price for gaming will be $5 for the day normally (we have to pay for the room of course) but several members are going to pick up the tab for the first weekend so you all get to come and play for free this first time.

The plan is to have a large variety of games going on from euros to wargames. We already have a couple of tournaments being talked about. Of course the first order of business is to get folks to come out for our opening day. So bring your games and help us make this group a success.

Here's the url for the church's website where you can find directions to the location.

Have you seen the Tornado Alley game day that we (the Wichita Area Boardgamers) have planned for May 30th? It's listed further down in the Midwest forum page.

Definitely a great group and the location is nice. I will definitely plan to be there again.

Hoping the copy of Dune I saw hits the table.

Just making sure. . .

Is this still on for 6 June (D-Day, as it were)?

Anything special on the menu?

(I have trouble with Yahoo groups, so am posting here.)

TIA

For those of you following here on BGG, the Kansas City Area Gaming Association is shutting down.

Speaks for itself, but thought you should know.
