I'll be pouring a bit of my 40 oz. Mountain Dew out for my fallen homie. Prepare a bucket or something so I don't stain your carpet.

We shall all drink a tankard of ale for all our fallen brethren and sings hymns of how they now are turning vikings into nerds in Valhalla.

Tomorrow, we roll the die in remembrance.

My PC's are facing off with human archaeologist who has bound the ratling rune of the brood mother. His evil plans have had them running around the countryside for the better part of a year. It will be the campaign ender one way or another.

Then on to western hero!

Tonight we prance about foggy London town, 1898-style, mired in a clue-strewn bog of Mr. Hyde-like leviathans, Italian anarchists and evil monks.

It's enough to drive a gentleman to cane an urchin, I tell you!

I'm DM'ing my kids and their friends as they look for adventure in Faerun. Last week, they defeated a shadar-kai witch and her numerous associates. I threw two hard encounters at them, and a few of them were close to dying - actually they would have if I hadn't fudged the rolls a bit. I think it shook them up a bit, but they had fun. Next, they'll take on some more shadar-kai who have kidnapped a PC's brother.

Yes, unfortunately our group can't get together.

Currently playing in a 1800-ish Dutch historic campaign with a nice fantasy twist.

Remember people, don't bring Rapiers to a Skeleton fight!

The only time I saw someone lose it over their character dying was when my brother was Monty Hall/Gary Gygax-style killed by a rookie GM. My normally supah-chill brother went through the roof. I thought there was going to be violence. It was rad.

Perhaps it wasn't such a good night for D&D after all. My poor dwarven druid died. Twice. (I got better!) The second time, everyone else died too... but I'm not actually sure we're dead. It was definitely a set-up, we were trapped in a no-win battle (seven 12-15th level characters vs a dozen each ~18th level mages, priests, & fighters, plus a demon.). We all ended up together in a dimly lit, foggy place, which is where the session ended.

Yes, I used the serial comma. Sue me.
