I can't seem to see what happens when cards tie, for example we both play jacks on a face-off. or a mid-ice play.

We assumed it's like players tieing up the puck and simply played two more cards.

Did we get it right ?

well the rules on pg 7, (5.)
..case of a tie, each player plays an additional hand until there is a winner..

so it sounds like you are right.

i was wondering this too. it would be unfortunate if you were about to follow up with a pair or a power hand.

I think in a tie you are allowed to complete your follow up
