Regarding raids by Local Notables. Are there any factors which prevent the PC markers being placed on areas which are 2 areas distant from the LN?

For example, if the LN had to trace a route (raid) through enemy armies or brigades to raid a particular area?

During play of a game a few days ago, it seemed a little odd that the notable could have influence "through" terrain dominated by enemy armies and PC.

I can't find anything in the rules to prevent such raids so assume it's ok?

The military power of the LN is assumed to be present throughout his zone, it is not a column of troops riding from the centre through the intervening army.

What of a masked local notable? While the raiding clause in section 13.0 is clear that a besieged LN cannot raid, what of one masked?

Masking interferes with PC isolation but not with recruitment, so I would think that forces are free to come in and out without interference.

The enemy watches, but does not interfere when a column rides out to do mischief. Sounds about right?
