For a second, I read this game's designer as Richard Borg (designer of Memoir '44), and my head nearly exploded.

"Wow, he really went the other way with that one..."

Why would you have found such a venture for Mr Borg so unusual? After all, it is a 30 year old game . . . and you learn such about design by tackling all sorts of projects at all levels.

That's a valid point. I always think of CfNA as the prime example of a hardcore wargame and Memoir '44 as the prime example of something that's right on the edge of what might be considered a wargame. To my knowledge, Mr. Borg hasn't done any "hardcore" wargames, so CfNA seemed rather ambitious for his only foray into the genre, but I suppose stranger things have happened.

I met Richard Borg for the first time at the NY Toy Fair a number of years ago, when I was still unclear on who was who... (since then, I've met both at WBC on a few occasions).

He said, "It's easy to tell us apart -- Richard Berg designs great games, and I'm the other one."

I thought that was an exceptional description (although they both design great games), and refreshingly humble.
