Those are Swiss suited cards--most often used for Jass.

Of course, Jass can be played with regular French suited cards:
Unter = Jack = Valet
Ober = Queen = Dame
Konig = King = Roi
Banner = 10
the 2 is often replaced with an Ace.

Ah, thanks. I suspected one of the unpipped, unpeopled cards was probably a 10, but didn't know which.

I plan on using these as a romantic alternative to standard playing cards for Schnapsen.
