On page 17, on "number of dice rolled", the attacker adds 1 to the number of "friendly provinces".
My problem is, what is a "friendly province".
Under the "Purpose of an intrigue contest" page 17, the rules say that it can convert a neutral province to a friendly province.
But is a subjugated province (one that has been won through a military contest) considered "friendly"?

On the example page 17, 1 is added for a "controlled" province which has not been won through military contest since it is Turan, a home province...

So, do you know if you consider all adjacent province that either have a fort or a tower or are home province of a faction add 1 die or if it is only the allies and home province?

Thanks in advance (and too bad the term "friendly" has not been more clearly defined)

"- A friendly province is any neutral province that a player
conquers or makes an alliance with. A player’s home province
is also always considered to be friendly."
