Titan Dice in Kickstarter - September 19th!

I’ve played Saboteur a few times now and have really been enjoying it. It was the first game to hit the table last week at F5 (Short’s game night). We played with 7 players for the first time and all but 3 of us were new to the game.

With 6 dwarves and 3 saboteurs, there would always be at least one saboteur in the mix. In the first round, the saboteurs started causing trouble at just the right time (I was one of them). The paths to the treasures kept getting hopelessly blocked and the round ended with several cycles of discarding because everyone was pretty much stuck.

In the second round I was a saboteur again. The other two saboteurs for that round were previously dwarves. Again, we struck with precision and I ended up with another 4 gold.

When the cards for round 3 were dealt, I was a saboteur again! With the typical “who’s the saboteur” banter someone suggested that I might me the saboteur again and I calmly replied “but what would be the chances of that?”

In round 3 there were only 2 saboteurs (Lisa and I). We put up a good fight, but near the end the dwarves had paths to two of the treasures. I had a map earlier in the round and had looked at the treasure that had no path so I knew that the one spot we were fighting over was critical. On my last turn I was about to play a broken tool on David, but he protested that I was picking on him after he had fixed my tool earlier in that round even though I was the saboteur (before he knew). I actually fell for it and ended up playing my broken tool on Abby (whose turn would be after David’s). My hesitation was a critical mistake and he smiled as he played the winning tile.

We counted up our gold and David actually ended up winning the entire game because of my last minute change. I went from feeling like a jerk to feeling like a complete sucker, which is why this game is so much fun!

Great session!

I appreciated the charity that night and just for your information, I am not too proud to continue to evoke my "don't play that broken lantern on me" strategy in the future!

Haha... great game.
