The May 2009 issue of Sea Classics (Vol.42, No.5) has an article by Jim Bloom briefly chronicling the history of wargaming and naval wargaming in particular. It's an interesting read for both board gamers and miniature gamers and the article is sprinkled with nice pictures of minis and the components of Compass Games' Silent War.
