Just out of interest I've posted a picture of one of my (failed) campaigns that includes my own version of the battlefield.

I have decided to split the player log so that the battlefield and campaign records are on separate sheets. I'm still working on the campaign sheet.

The main changes I've made to the battlefield are:-

- Larger area and green background.
- Spaces for Battle Plans if not on the field itself.
- Tracks for Fate and Flank counts
- I've faded out the advisor and glory counter images so that the actual counters show up more when present.

I'd be interested in any comments on additional features but it works well for me.

Chris

PS Revised player log now in discussion. See http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/407125

Edit: PPS - Approved by Dan and loaded to the files section!

Re: Revised Battlefield Sheet
I like it, do you plan to put it on the file section?
Is A4 format?

Yes it is A4 format. In fact it trims down to slightly less than A4 to fit in the box.

If Dan Verssen has no objections I'd be happy to submit it to the files section.

I'll await feedback on that and any ideas for improvements.

Thanks for the positive comments.

Chris

Chris,

Thank you for creating this, it looks great. You definately have permission to add it to the file section.

Dan,

Thanks - I'll submit it asap.

It's good have your input on this site! It's not something all designers do, unfortunately.

I've posted three rule questions here http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/406129 on which I'd value your definitive feedback.

Regards
Chris

I really like the faded out counter images as it makes the advisors in play much easier to see. Hopefully this is an idea that Dan can use in future games.

Thanks Brian, I find the fading better. It's used in a lot of games so I make no claims for originality.

Cheers
