I would like to make a new Hex map for 1830 - Is there a thread on how to make a Hex board?

Can I do it using photoshop?

All it takes is a little basic math.

- Set grid of your drawing program with V = 7H/4 (The hex height will actually 2V--so if you wnat a 1" hex V = 1/2" and H = 4/14" = .2857")
- Use snap to Grid.
- For the diagonal draw one snap vertical and one snaps horizontal.
- For the horizontal lines, use to snaps.
- Draw a three legged star and copy & paste as needed to fill area.

True they aren't quite true hexagons--the angles are off by a 0.25 degrees and the diagonal lines are 0.7% longer than the horizontals. But, no one'll never notice.
