I one said "Flatulated".

The joke fell quite flat.

Hyphenate.

Seriously, the computer folks get blamed for this verbing stuff, but yet we have verbs like "hyphenate"? Give me a break.

Once I was gaming at a friend's house and she commented how her cat was husking around.

There was a pretty funny Geeklist where the author repeatedly mentioned that he would have to "Wikipedia that".

Personally, I've gotten into nouning verbs.

I'd never thought of an herb as a verb until a friend told me that she had just "saged" her room to cleanse out the energy field.

Uhm....yeah.

Anything we prepare to eat, in our household, we say we're "fooding".

Like, "let's food some rice and veggies and make a stir-fry."

Additionally, when one of our pets (dog and cat) decide to eat some non-food item (like, the handle to my briefcase), we'll say, "aw, crap, the cat is fooding my briefcase!"

I'm old enough to have learned a large vocabulary from D&D books and novels, but young enough to mangle the language with the plethora of ways the interweb and sardonic 90s TV and movies has taught me.

Additionally there is self-referential humor on top of heavy sarcasm along with a need to be "clever" and not repeat the same phrasing. I have said "el aye double-you el" spelling out LAWL which is a how you might spell somebody saying LOL which is now an ingrained internet meme which I find annoying. I don't remember if I thought what I was responding to was funny, or I was being derisive and trying to be funny myself.

I've verbed many nouns, and nounded many verbs. There is no end to my ham handed butchery of grammar.

For me it'd have to be 'GO Trainer'.

In the Toronto area, commuters have a choice - either tackle for 401 highway (one of, if not the, busiest highways in North America) or take the train. The train is a government service (Government of Ontario) and is always crammed with commuters of all types. During rush hours it's standing room only.

'GO Trainers', to me, are the folks that take the train.. They're a different breed of commuter. They get up early, sit in their regular seets (regulars reserve these seets some times for other commuters), and when they're coming home from work, they'll (literally) run to the front train car so that they can (literally) run to their vechicles in the parking lots so they can be the first ones out.

GO Trainers. I'll drive my car, thanks.

"Toothpicked"

As in, "I toothpicked some colonies of yeast from this Petri dish onto that one."

I've even seen it in some journal articles.

I once conjugated a friend of mine. His name is Neil. When we talked about him referring to the past, it was Nelt. If we were calling to him in the present, it was Neiling. If we were making plans involving him, we called him Will Be Neiling.
