I'm posting this early so I don't have to stay up too late tonight, and given the fact that early tomorrow on the West Coast isn't early tomorrow on the East Coast. Let the questions rip now if you like, but her day of truth or consequences doesn't officially start until tomorrow.

I cannot believe I made CCotD ahead of this grand poster. It is with great pride and joy that I pass along the purple-sequined torch along to Toggy.

A brief into of the Toggy.

Hmm, so you guys want a biosketch before the torment fun begins. I see how this goes.

Once upon a time on a naval base in the far away land of Virginia, in this little place called Portsmouth (though it really should have been Okinawa, but that is a story for another day) that is apparently part of the Norfolk ship-yard a Toggy was port born, property of the US Government. They kept me for a while too. I am just that lovable I guess.

I didn’t really play games as a kid. We played a lot of cards. Black Alley Bridge. Hand and Foot. Rummy, Gin Rummy, Hearts. What games we did play were typical. Bland. Normal. We played some Monopoly. Some Clue. Some Othello/Reversi. Upwards. Uno. The normal games that kids play. At least that was what I thought at the time.

Played a lot of NES and SNES. Mario. Donkey King. Tetris. Dr. Mario. I read a lot as a kid. I still do. Never did sports. Was a band nerd. Started writing in middle to high school cause I was bored in school and needed to get the storied out of my head. Never stopped. Went to college. Discovered the wonders of a playstation and console based RPGs. Remembered how much I loved Zelda. Thought biology was a good idea. Still do. Most days. Came to graduate school. Enter Amwiles. I blame her. I really do. For gaming. For BGG. For chit chat.

It. is. all. her. fault.

And I shall love her forever for it. :beam: So I send her love and hugs. I would sent squishes or kisses, but that is stealing other peoples gimmick. I don’t have one. I am sad now. soblue cry

:Ahem: Where was I? Oh yes. Wiles.

A slip of the tongue. An invitation to this mysterious Saturday gaming at her place. And from there, the rest is history as they say.

But I digress. I will say that some people here in Chit Chat have fantastic taste. I am honored, and totally unworthy to be CCotD #16 (sweet, sweet 16. I never thought I would be 16 again, and I was OK with that. But I am glad that it happened). Let us move on to the fun stuff. Some Lies and Maybe a truth. We shall see.

meeple I dislike my height. I really would prefer to be about 6 inches shorter. It is hard being abnormally tall.
meeple I am surprised that I am as open on here as I am. I am really a timid mouse like creature with a fear of talking to new people. Which is also my the concept of attending BGG con terrified me.
meeple I have been to ten other countries at this point in time.
meeple I loathe American literature with a passion unseen by many.
meeple I am a cat lady, albeit a young one, and dream of being the next Rowling/Tolkein with a huge desk in a library surrounded by books and cats.
meeple My most favorite game ever is Dr. Mario. Followed by Tetris. Then come FF and Zelda.
meeple I end up rather drunk during Chutes and Ladders the drinking game. I get stuck on some stupid chute. And my friends tend to take pity on me and rig the spinner so I am freed.
meeple I enjoy partying. And drinking. And having fun.

So what is a truth, what is a lie? Hmm? Let me know.

And question away. I will answer anything you throw my way. Ok well 99.999999999999999999% of the questions you ask my way. One or two things may or may not be off limits, but given that I am not sure what my limits are we shall have fun testing this, no? devil

Yay-hurray for you, Toggy!!

Now, to serious matters:

1. Rate these cats from best to worst and why!
Turkish Van, Norwegian Forest Cat, Russian Blue, California Spangled Cat, and Australian Mist

2. Which do you prefer: push buttons, sliders, or toggle switches?

3. What your favourite recipe for avacado?

4. Have your read any Sherri Tepper? Beauty, for example?

5. Do you now, or have you ever; misused punctuation for your own dire puposes?

OK, I have some IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:

1) You say you are abnormally tall. Compared to what?

2) Silmarillion: Brilliant, or a half-finished idea that Tolkien Jr. mangled as he brought to publication?

3) If you had to spend the rest of your life without ever using a fry pan, or wear pants over your head all day Monday, which would you choose and why?

Enjoy your special day of chit chat if you can!

Edit: To clarify, in #3, it is THIS Monday that you must wear pants over your head. Not every Monday.

My questions:

1) Should eating Dutch Babies be banned across the world?
2) If you were a fruit, which one would you be?
3) Could you beat amwiles in a rapid-fire-posting showdown?

Condolenc...Congrat...Condolulations!

Enjoy your day!! (or at least try to keep the misery at bay -- probably best to keep some alleve nearby, maybe a stress ball too).

I won't extend the torture by asking any of my own questions.......oh wait, yes I will.

d10-8 Favorite chocolate? (not liking chocolate isn’t an option).

d10-8 Would you say you have a good "poker face" and if so, describe a situation in which you were able to use it to your best advantage (I may or may not be grooming you to beat MisterCranky and Jarred in the bgg.con poker tournament, since I can't be there...).

d10-8 Favorite literary quote? (yes, only one).

d10-8 Still shopping mattresses -- spring, foam, air, water. What say you?

If you want a good grilling, I say you can't find better than the one delivered by the Chief Editor of the Manhattan Argus: (Modified for today's purposes (mostly in terms of gender)

I wanna know what makes Toggy tick!

Where is she from?

Where is she going?

I wanna know everything about this girl!

Has she got a man?

Has she got parents?

Everybody's got parents? All right, how many?

What are her hopes, her dreams, her desires, and aspirations?

Does she think all the time, or does she set aside a certain portion of the day?

How tall is she and what's her shoe size?

Where does she sleep, and what does she eat for breakfast?

Does she put jam on her toast, or doesn't she put jam on her toast?

If not, why not, and since when?

Did she know the quote in question before she followed the link?

If not, why not, and has she got a favorite obscure title of her own?

Inquiring minds (namely mine) want to know!

CONGRATS!

What is your favorite meal to cook for me at BGG.CON?

What is your choice of booze to drink with your favorite meal to cook for me at BGG.CON?

What game can't you live without playing with me at BGG.CON?

Are you bringing your cats to BGG.CON? If so, how do you plan on sneaking them past the hotel staff?

Is there any decent way to mix tea with booze and get the best of both worlds?
