I haven't gotten my copy of SA yet and I was wondering something while reading through the tutorial. How common is it for actions not to be taken (i.e. just waiting around)? It seems really beneficial if you trip because all your future plans don't get delayed past the non-action turn, but having turns where no action is taken seems like a really high opportunity cost as you could be helping out with something or at least looking out the window. So, on average, how many (if any) non-actions do players take if they're not just totally new and can't plan fast enough?
I'll pause a turn sometimes to make sure the pulse laser is in time with everyone else or whatever.
If you get dealt a duff hand with poor actions then sometimes you spend most of your time waiting.:shake:
