There's a bug (in version 1.11) of the (otherwise excellent) iPhone/iPod version of Zooloretto, that lets the computer player get away with an illegal animal tile placement:

I have to admit, I did wait around for a bit to see what would happen (don't underestimate the chimps, BTW).

Another Bug
After choosing the "move" action and canceling it, things get stuck here and I can't proceed:

When I last encountered a "lockup" like that one, where I could not actually perform the action recommended, I found that exiting the program was a reasonable recovery technique. When I restarted the game, it asked me if I wanted to continue. I did and it resumed on a step just before the lockup happened.

Not so bad.
