I will start by saying that I enjoyed playing this game.

The board is an interpretaion of the main roads central london. various destinations are marked in red and are for you as a taxi driver to visit. Which destination is dictated by the cards you hold in your hand. On arriving at your destination you receive a fare of around £40 and then move on to the next.

The winner is the person with the most money at the end of the game. so your stratgey is to move around a fast as possible and visit as many attractions as you can.

At each road junction is a set of traffic lights and if you land on these you take a card which can be 'good' or 'nasty'. Good cards give you money or extra moves or fuel, Nasty cards enforce you miss a turn or other disadvantges such as point on your drivers license.

You need to ensure you do not accrue the maximum points on you license or you will have to pay to clear it. Likewise you need to keep an eye on you fuel as no fule will mean a staionary taxi. Both these ellements can be controlled by visits to the garage or just paying money to the bank.

There is not much inter-action between opponents so this is very much a race game. Because of this we found playing game a bit hectic. We did not designate a banker but just left each person to do their own maoney and cards. This meant that hands and arms were constantly flying across the table. This added , I thought, to the fun of the game.

As a previous reviewer has said there are a couple of strange rules but we like to set house rules for anything we believe does not work, so was the case here.

This is not a big serious game with lots of heavy strategy, this is a fun game for a little playtime on a wet afternoon. It would be good for the family and maybe someone who you think needs to know more about london. The map is not accurate but at least you will learn roughly where places are in London or wherever your destination game is. London taxi drivers call learning the strets and landmarks of London as 'doing the knowledge'. This is a good start for any young aspiring cabbie!
