Hy everyone,
i have been playing scenario VI with two of my friends and
i play with Carthage and East, according to rule at pag 18 of PAX ROMANA PLAYBOOK.

"Carthage and the East must commit to their general historical
goals for the East, conquer Asia Minor and Greece; for
Carthage, conquer Spain and take out Rome."

It is clear for East the goal of conquest of Asia Minor and Greece
but for Carthage, what does exactly mean "take out Rome"?

Regards

Carthage and the East must commit to their general historical goals—for the East, conquer Asia Minor and Greece; for Carthage, conquer Spain and take out Rome.

The historical goal for the Carthaginians, as described in Scenario II Punic Wars' winning conditions, is to capture the city of Rome. (The Carthaginian player wins an automatic victory the instant he captures Rome)

Yes, I would agree with this. We can't possibly have meant "take out Rome" to mean eliminate Rome as a power in the game, so capturing the city of Rome is it.
